The City of Folly Beach exists to serve its citizens, to preserve and enhance the safety, health, and welfare of this community and to provide stability, reliability, credibility and accountability in city government. The city exists to work in partnership with its citizens to ensure their input is listened to, considered, and when feasible, acted upon, so services provided are prompt, courteous, dependable, and efficient, as well as cost effective. The city also exists to ensure that excellence in, and respect for, the democratic process remains at the core of our actions and to be a constant reminder that government is for the people, by the people, and of the people.
