WHEN AND HOW APPOINTED
Governed by Folly Code section 33.150
The Committee shall consist of five members elected by City Council. Members shall serve three-year staggered terms. Appointments shall be made no later than May 1 of the year in which the term expires.
One member shall represent a non-profit entity; one shall represent the business sector, and three shall represent the general public. All members shall be residents or property owners. Full-time, year round resident status shall be determined by the address appearing on the voter’s registration card, driver’s license, and most current federal tax return
To make recommendations to City Council on, and establish guidelines for, the donation of funds from the City’s Community Promotion Account to individuals, organizations, and non-profit entities. The Foundation shall review all requests for donations, other than those requested through A-Tax Funds.
