WHEN AND HOW APPOINTED
The Committee shall consist of five members and one alternate elected by City Council. The alternate may attend all meetings but will only have discussion and voting rights if and when one of the three members representing the general public is not in attendance. Members shall serve three-year staggered terms. Appointments shall be made no later than May 1 of the year in which the term expires.
One member shall represent a non-profit entity; one shall represent the business sector, and three shall represent the general public. All members shall be residents or property owners.
To make recommendations to City Council on, and establish guidelines for, the donation of funds from the City’s Community Promotion Account to individuals, organizations, and non-profit entities. The Foundation shall review all requests for donations, other than those requested through A-Tax Funds.
