Water Main Replacement on E. Hudson Ave

The City of Folly Beach Public Works Department will begin a project to replace the aging water main on E. Hudson Ave. This essential upgrade will improve water quality, increase water pressure, and reduce the frequency of water main breaks in your neighborhood

Project Details:

  • Location: E. Hudson Ave, from Center Street to 6th Street East.
  • Work Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.***
  • Possible night work may take place. Notice will be given.


Night work is scheduled on Center Street 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM, tonight, March 30th, through Friday, April 3rd. Crews will be on Center Street and the 1st blocks of East Hudson and West Hudson. Vehicles in the right-of-way should be moved and parked in alternate locations, as cars blocking the project area may be subject to towing. Residents and visitors should expect noise, traffic impacts, and temporary lane adjustments during these hours.
